CraftCuts Review and Giveaway

CraftCuts.com sent me some of their wooden letter cut-outs to review. Since I got to choose which, I chose to try some of their different styles and woods so that you all could see more of what they have!
I chose the unpainted letters so we could choose custom colors, however, they have the option of pre-painted letters to save you time. They also have shape cut-outs like animals, transportation, maps, military and more as well as Greek letters, vinyl letters and monograms! There are also so many letter options! I chose the Baltic Birch wood letters, Connected letters, and MDF wood letters, but they also have Holiday wood letters (great for pictures!) and Wood Wall Tile Letters (they look like Scrabble pieces,) Outdoor letters, Hanging letters...the list goes on! You will have to check out CraftCuts.com for yourself!
You can completely customize your letters by choosing the height, width, color, font and wood type which is something that I absolutely love being very into design. Because you can choose exactly CraftCuts.com never has letters in stock. Instead, they custom make each just for your order! You can view shipping details here. Your order will be shipped in a large box with a lot of padding so you don't have to worry about your shipment getting ruined. The shipped letters do not come with anything to hang them, but you can order special mounting tape or spray adhesive with your order. We chose to go with some old craft mounting tape that I found in my craft box and that worked great so you can always find your favorite wall mounting tape elsewhere as well. Another option would be to attach a ribbon or wire to the back and hang your letters or nail in picture mounting brackets depending on the letter size and the number of letters you are hanging. You can even order self-standing letters if you would rather stick them on a shelf to avoid hanging them.
how you want your letters,

Baltic Birch
As I mentioned before, I chose to try a few different types of letters so you can see some of the different products they have and some different things you can do with them.

Here are the Baltic Birch wood letters we ordered. My husband simply used spray paint to paint them because it would be consistent and quicker with the amount that needed to be painted. These ones are
1/8 inch thick so they pop just a little bit off the wall and they are 3 inches high so we could fit them in the clock. These letters, how I set them up, cost $1.35 each regular price. If you would like to see a how-to for the clock, just click the picture and it will take you to my blog post on Arts & Crackers!

Connected
These are the Connected letters that I ordered to decorate the frames in our "Air Force" corner. They are 1/8 inch thick and 4 inches tall and we chose the letter connection, but you can also choose to have the letters connected at the base so it looks like they are underlined. We have this simply resting atop one of the frames, but you could always mount this, order it thicker so it stands on its own, or
mount it inside of a glass-less frame to accent it. At the height and width I chose, these letters cost $3.03 each (punctuation does count so you can always leave that out to save on cost.) My husband used spray paint for this as well, though with this one he chose a metallic blue meant for cars. Using this spray paint, he needed to use a few coats, but it made it look shiny and close to Air Force Blue.

MDF Wooden
The last type of letters that I chose were the MDF wooden letters which I thought would look best in a child's room. These are 1/4 inch thick and 6 inches tall so they really stand out. The edges were burnt wood and I thought it looked neat so we only painted the top of the letters, this way they look a bit more like letters from a comic strip. Because I was able to customize the font, I chose Comic Sans to add a little more of that comic strip look I was going for. I could have chosen my son's name in letters, however, since we are expecting another little one and do not have the gender and name yet, I chose to keep it a word that goes with the theme of the room. These letters were painted with paint specifically for woods, metals, etc and we used a small roller to keep it smoother and keep the paint just on the top. At the height and width I chose, these letters were $4.00 each regular price. If you would like to see the how-tos for how we decorated my son's room, click the picture and it will take you to my blog post on Arts & Crackers. Keep an eye out on that blog, however, as there are many different items that require a how-to so not all of the posts will be up right away. You can keep up-to-date as I post them by liking Arts & Crackers on Facebook.

Earth Mama Angel Baby Tea Review and Giveaway

Even though I am pregnant, I love and crave herbal tea. Sadly, herbal teas like chamomile are supposed to be avoided for the most part during pregnancy because most brands use chemicals and the tea leaves can then carry diseases and harmful substances for unborn babies. When I was at the store, I noticed a line of herbal teas just for women who are expecting or nursing and I just had to try it! Earth Mama Angel Baby sent me their Organic Heartburn Tea and their Organic Milkmaid Tea.
Both of these Earth Mama Angel Baby 100% organic teas are USDA certified, zero toxin, and researched and promised to be safe and effective for expectant mommies. There are also tea varieties of Morning Wellness Tea, Peaceful Mama Tea, Third Trimester Tea, Monthly Comfort Tea, and No More Milk Tea.

The tea that I just tried, Organic Heartburn Tea, is meant for all stages or pregnancy as well as postpartum. Caffeine free, the Soothing Mellow Mint flavor is very calming and delicious. Ingredients include spearmint leaf, chamomile, lemon balm leaf, marshmallow and red raspberry leaf. The marshmallow root is a natural plant used for comforting the soreness of gastrointestinal irritations by coating the mouth, throat, belly and colon. I frequently get bad heartburn while pregnant and the Earth Mama Angel Baby Organic Heartburn Tea really did a lot to soothe the burn and it tasted wonderful! I really enjoy drinking this before bed, after a "big" dinner or during a calming bath.

The tea I did not try on for taste yet, Organic Milkmaid Tea, is meant for postpartum breastfeeding. Since I have not yet had my baby and this is NOT FOR USE DURING PREGNANCY, I decided not to increase my milk supply already but I will be very excited to try it in a few months once the baby is here as I plan to breastfeed. I did, however, get a whiff of the tea which helps me to picture what the tea will taste like. The Fragrant Fennel Herb smell was unique, somewhat savory, and delightful. This tea contains fenugreek seed, fennel seed, red raspberry leaf, stinging nettle leaf, milk thistle seed, orange peel, anise seed, caraway seed and alfalfa leaf. (Large amounts of this tea may lower blood sugar, so limit to when needed.) The Organic Milkmaid Tea will have a distinct licorice flavor as it contains both anise and fennel seed. Fennel helps with issues of the gastrointestinal system and to increase milk supply for nursing mothers (it is a "galacagogue" meaning it increases breast milk.) The fenugreek, milk thistle seed, anise seed and caraway seed also all help to increase your supply while the nettle and red raspberry leaf provide many needed vitamins and minerals that will help (along with your prenatal vitamins) to keep your breast milk as nutritious for Baby as possible. This tea is also caffeine free.

I am so happy to have found a calming, healthy, safe herbal tea to drink while pregnant as well as a tea that will help to increase my milk supply for my likely very-hungry baby boy due in November.

You can find Earth Mama Angel Baby retailers here and don't forget to print your coupon! Check them out on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.

Enter to win a box of Earth Mama Angel Baby Organic Heartburn Tea and Organic Milkmaid Tea for yourself! This giveaway is open to residents of the United States AND Canada!

Soft Scrub Mold & Mildew Stain Remover Gel Review and Giveaway

Our bathroom is not made the best so we have some terrible mold and mildew problems in our bathtub. We have tiling in the bathtub and the cracks always turn brown--it is gross. Since I am allergic to cleaning chemicals, we can't just go bleach it to keep it clean so I was happy we could try out something a little less potent that my husband could use while I was still downstairs.

Before
Soft Scrub Mold & Mildew Stain Remover gel has no harsh fumes and the tip sprays where you want it and not all over the place. Because it is a spray, it actually sticks to the stains and mold rather than just sliding off the top so when you wipe you get all of it, not just the cleaner. "Tough on stains, Gentle on surfaces," Soft Scrub Mold & Mildew Stain Remover is great for many different surfaces including tile, grout, tubs and showers. This product does have bleach in it, but it is nowhere near as strong smelling as straight up bleach.

After
My husband followed the directions on the container (however I do not believe he scrubs very much haha) and he said it worked ok. Of course, we did not achieve the stark white, super clean tile and grout we were hoping for, but it did help to clean up a bit. Our bath went quickly back to the yucky moldy tub it was before, but I think it would have done a little better had my husband cleaned up the mold first and then treated the stains or had we used this a few times in a row. Either way, if you need something to quickly take the edge off your moldy bathroom, Soft Scrub Mold & Mildew Stain Remover gel will do the job.

Purex with Crystals Review and Giveaway

Purex has a new formula of laundry detergent that already has fabric softener crystals in it! Their new formula has the same great Dirt Lift Action while giving you an extra, delicate floral scent and softer fabric.
My allergies couldn't handle the floral scent of this product as it is floral, but my husband liked it a lot and was able to use it on his ABU uniforms. He always adds fabric softener to make the stiff, itchy fabric more comfortable so he absolutely loved that he did not have to take two steps for the same results. He even got some compliments on how great he smelled! As I mentioned, it does have a floral scent, but it is not overly-flowery that it smells awkward for men, but rather a fresh and clean fabric smell. Purex with Crystals did a great job of taking out much of the dirt in my husband's grimy uniforms. Without the dirt, his uniforms feel and smell huggably cleaner.
With crystals already included in the formula at the same price as their regular bottles of detergent, you can actually save money with this! Actually, you can save over $45 per year and you know I'm all about saving.

The new Purex with Crystals formula is available at most larger Purex retailers such as Walmart, Target, Kroger and more. The only place I have not been able to find this variety yet is at the drug stores. Be sure to check out Purex on Facebook!

Enter to win a bottle for yourself below! As with all of my contests, unless otherwise stated, this is open to US residents and APOs only.

Dial Coconut Water Body Wash Review

I recently had the pleasure of trying the new Dial Coconut Water body wash. It is AMAZING. How it smells, how it works--this body wash made shower time even more enjoyable! The light scent of green, floral, coconut and bamboo leaf extract makes me so happy; even my husband loved it and I found out he was sneaking my body wash instead of his. It worked out for me though, because it left me with a very wonderful-smelling husband.
Not only did the Dial Coconut Water body was smell great, but it also left my skin feeling delightfully hydrated. I have noticed that other body washes, even some of the good ones, leave my skin feeling dry. However, the Dial body wash has antioxidants and electrolytes from the young, green coconuts used in the formula to proved ultra hydrated. Because of this nourishing and hydrating property, coconut water is actually known as "super water" and has an abundance of health benefits.
I rarely find a product that I am willing to spend some money on, but I love this Dial Coconut Water body wash so much, I would be willing to! Gentle on my skin, delightful to smell, and refreshingly cleansing, I can honestly say that Dial Coconut Water body wash is now my favorite body wash of all time!

Check out Dial on Facebook and find a printable coupon here.

Erbaorganics Review

If you are expecting, I am sure you have looked into ways to prevent or lessen stretch marks. I know I did for my son but I could not decide so this time I decided I would go organic because it is fresher and healthier for mommy and baby. I tried Erbaorganics Mommy-to-Be Stretch Mark Cream and their amazing Mommy-to-Be Oat & Milk Bath. Now, I am all for the "stretch marks mean you've earned your stripes" or considering them body art, but that is usually an artificial way to make you feel better about your not-so-perfect after-children body so I like to do what I can to lessen the appearance. I have a few stretch marks from my first son already so I decided to do what I can this time and try not to get any more and what is so great about Erbaorganics is that it actually helps moisten your skin enough that it will stretch calmly rather than abruptly so there is a lesser chance of getting all those marks!

Before I go into the specific products that I tested, I'd like to give a quick overview of Erbaorganics. This company based in Southern California has been seeking to make pure and eco-friendly mom and baby products and the result is effective, great-smelling, USDA Organic certified products for you and your kiddos. Their products range from massage oil and foot/leg cream to diaper cream and sunscreen. They even offer travel sizes! What you do not probably realize about your typical baby care brands (those that are not organic) is that many of them carry harmful chemicals such as formaldehyde that, when rubbed onto your skin, can be soaked right into your blood stream. Even better than great, healthy products is when you have that combined with a giving spirit. Erbaorganics gives 15% of all gross sales to the WWO (Worldwide Orphans Foundation.)

The first product that I tested was the stretch mark cream which I fell in love with. It has a distinct organic smell--the soothing type that you often smell when you walk into an organics store. Simply delightful! I realize I cannot handle many strong smells with my allergies, but I have noticed that I can handle a lot more when the scents are all natural and not accompanied by chemical smells. The cream soaks in very quickly and leaves my skin feeling supple and I have not yet gotten any new stretch marks! Erbaorganics also offers an oil variety which I was unable to try but I am sure it is great and pairs well with the cream. The Erbaorganics Mommy-to-Be Stretch Mark Cream runs $19 for a 4oz bottle and has certified 85% organic ingredients.

The second product that I tried out was the oat & milk bath which I have fallen in love with. Again, it has that delicious, typical organic scent that I love so it is very relaxing and just sitting in the oat & milk filled bathtub you can feel your skin getting softer. Mommies-to-be need their relaxing time, especially if they already have children, and this is a GREAT way to achieve that. I had the best, most calming time just soaking in my oat & milk bath with the lights dimmed, some candles burning for low light and to complement the smell of the bath product, a cup of hot organic tea and uplifting music playing on my phone in the background--a great routine for after the kids are in bed. I took baths for comfort when I was pregnant with my first son and tried several different products for relaxation but nothing ever quite gave me that truly-relaxed feeling like my Erbaorganics product did. I could literally feel a peacefulness fall over me! Of course, now that I am writing this I am planning my next relaxing bath time...perhaps some father-son bonding time is in order so I can have some mommy-tub bonding time. The Erbaorganics Oat & Milk Bath runs $24 for an 18oz jar and is USDA Organics certified.

Pink Blush Maternity Review and Giveaway

I was privileged to be able to try out one of Pink Blush Maternity's products. At Pink Blush Maternity, you can find trendy, great-quality maternity clothing from tops to dresses to nursingwear and more. I chose the Crochet Top Maternity Maxi Dress. I really thought it would be a little long on me to the point I would have to wear heels or wedges with it or even have to hem the bottom; I was pleasantly surprised, however, that the dress fit 100% perfectly! I am 5'4-1/4" tall and the dress went down just above the bottom of my feet so I can comfortably wear flats or even have bare feet and not have to worry about stepping on the dress.

I love how the Pink Blush Maternity maxi dresses flow and the fact that they are made sturdy and light-weight. The maxi dress that I chose is absolutely perfect for the Spring and Summer months. The top is a delicate-looking lacy material and the bottom is a soft, solid fabric so the dress is perfect for all events--everyday wear, casual events and even formal events! I first wore my  dress to a friend's wedding and I received ever-so-many comments on how I had the "prettiest dress" (apart from the bride's of course.) In the morning when I first put the dress on, my toddler came up to me, gasped, and said "WOW! Mommy's a princess!" I sure felt like it! My belly has room to grow and I will take good care of this dress so it lasts me a long time because I simply LOVE it.

The Pink Blush Maternity dress that I chose is hand-wash only because of the delicate fabric it is made from, so it will be a chore to wash, but I think it is totally worth it. I would guess that many or all of their products recommend that you hand-wash just in case. In my opinion, just the fact that they suggest you hand-wash ensures their maternity clothing is high-quality.

Pink Blush Maternity offers great products at low prices and the products are shipped directly to your door. If you receive a product that doesn't fit, Pink Blush Maternity will refund your order or exchange it for another product/size (see their refund policy.) Standard shipping costs are $5 or free over $50 for the US but they ship to other countries as well for varying prices. Pink Blush also has an ever-changing inventory of clothing so you get something fresh and unique every time. Be sure to sign up for their newsletter to keep an eye on their sales and coupons and check them out on Facebook!

Want to try out one of Pink Blush Maternity's products? Enter below to win a $25 credit to their site! IN ORDER TO WIN, YOU MUST NOT HAVE WON A PINK BLUSH MATERNITY GIVEAWAY AT ANY PREVIOUS TIME OR YOU WILL FORFEIT YOUR PRIZE.
